Our Story
Our story begins with the vision of Senator Ronald Duncombe, a man who understood the challenges of growing up in a single-parent household. Raised in Kemp Road by a single mother, Senator Duncombe experienced firsthand the struggles and obstacles faced by young men in similar situations. He recognized the need for a structured program that would provide these young men with the guidance, support, and opportunities they needed to succeed.

Out of this vision, the NexGen Young Men Mentorship Program was born. Senator Duncombe's unique experiences and insights shaped the program, ensuring it catered to the specific needs and challenges of young men from single-mother homes. His goal was to create a program that would not just mentor these young men, but empower them to become the leaders of tomorrow.

The program is designed for young men aged 14-18, selected by the Member of Parliament within various constituencies in Nassau as well as the Family Islands. The selection process is meticulous, ensuring that each participant is a perfect fit for the program and stands to benefit the most from its offerings.

At NexGen, we believe in holistic development. Our program encompasses mentorship, leadership skills, life skills training, global networking opportunities, computer certification programs, and more. We aim to equip our mentees with the tools, skills, and experiences they need to excel in all aspects of their lives.
As we look to the future, we remain committed to our mission of empowering the next generation of leaders. We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and are dedicated to continuing our work, one young man at a time.
Every visit, every workshop, every interaction is a step towards empowerment. We're not just building skills; we're building futures." - Senator Ronald Duncombe
